HOT! HOT! HOT! Caribbean Gourmet Dinner

Everything was HOT! HOT! HOT! at the home of The Apruzzi's last night as The Gourmet Club got together for a Carribean Gourmet Dinner.
The Appetizers, prepared by Marlene and Brittany Pickell consisted of first,
a Caribean Seafood Salad with shrimp and avocado and served with a Caribbean Cooler Punch. (both pictured left).







This was followed by Surullitos, deep fried cornshapes that are common in Puerto Rico. The corn meal is rolled or shaped and served with a mayo and ketchup dip.





Beef Empanaditas, prepared with spicy ground beef as the main ingredient was served with a Sketch Book Pinot Noir.






The Entree
Prepared by the Carrie and Phil was a Garlic Roasted Pork Shoulder served with Green Beans in Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette, Yellow Rice with Pigeon Peas, and Grilled Pineapple.
The dinner was served with a Kali-Hart Chardonnay 2008.

The Dessert

Prepared by Betty Ann and Mike was a Caribbean Coconut Lime Cake with Lime Ice Cream and served with a Hopewell Valley 2007 Dolce Vita Dessert Wine.
